  • The SRNOA provides a convivial environment for meetings with fellow RN and RM Officers (active/retired) to keep abreast of current developments and maintain naval traditions.

The Association has an active programme throughout the year including:

  • Monthly lectures (from September to April) at :-
  •  The Concorde Club, Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh, SO50 9HQ
  • Two formal Mess Dinners in the year, Trafalgar Night in October and the SRNOA Annual dinner in the Spring;
  • Ad-hoc visits to ships or establishments of interest to members.

History - The Southampton Royal Naval Officers Association (SRNOA) was formed in 1965 on the disbandment of the Royal Naval Supplementary Volunteer Reserve by its last remaining five officers.  Meetings were held in HMS Wessex.  The SRNOA has maintained a close affinity with serving and retired RNR officers from HMS Wessex.

Since its formation the Association has expanded and now welcomes personnel who are currently serving or who have served in any of the armed forces, the Merchant Marine, or who have an ongoing interest in the Royal Navy. (for details see membership page)
